More than a Coup – Part2
As DOGE runs roughshod over the government shutting things down, Americans are losing their property. The only ones winning: a bunch of angry, wealthy mostly white men. They have the resources to have the experts on their payrolls and they hate that the government provides working people a similar level of access to expertise. It is why they hate the public schools and universities. Education levels the playing field where the wealthy once cornered the market with their elite educational institutions. These people back the churches controlling the schools as Jerry Farwell once envisioned: "I hope I live to see the day when, as in the early days of our country, we won't have any public schools. The churches will have taken them over again and Christians will be running them. What a happy day that will be!" Why would they want that? Indoctrination maybe?
This would be a return to the Dark Ages where the only people who could read were the priest. That was prior to the printing press coming along to make books more accessible to the average person. Once the printed word became more available and more people learned to read, questions began to arise. No longer were the people in the “dark” as they could see the that they were being misled. Then the church schools also began to be questioned as people began to question the teachings (indoctrination) to see that facts were not in alignment with the truth of life. There is more than just faith. Some our ancients were forced to commit suicide because they questioned the powerful that relied faith and religion rather than science.
As Musk and his racist laden team do their thing, they are stealing Americans property. That property is information. That information was paid for with tax dollars and was made available to Americans for their use. It was used by entrepreneurs to start and grow business. It was used by farmers to improve farming practices, It was used by law enforcement to improve public safety. It was used by doctors to improve medical treatments for their patients. It was used teachers to improve education for their students. It is used by people to see weather forecast. It is used by financiers for economic forecasts. All of these are things that people like Musk, Bezos, trump, and the minions in his leadership want to make inaccessible to the average American, unless they pay directly for it. Why should they have access to what the rich pay their experts, especially since their tax dollars contribute to the accumulation of the information?
As they continue to pull this information down, you can forecast that it will begin to reappear on paywalled websites. This is the philosophy of the libertarian free market followers. Michael Lewis detailed a lot of what the government does in his book, The Fifth Risk, showing how the government data is extensive and readily available for the average American. The various departments across the federal government achieved hundreds of billions of data points, if not trillions, that are readily available to citizens that know how to find it and the dedicated government employees that tend to be very helpful to assist citizens to access the data they desire within certain guarded parameters. What the wealthy info barons see is a gold mine or better yet, a treasure trove of information they can then manipulate for their own gain. If Musk and the Project 2025 people succeed, they will have made the greatest theft in human history – knowledge they can then monetize like “nothing ever before.”
With this stolen information, nothing or no one will be safe. This is the goal. Want to shut down a company? Screw around with the info they need to do business. Want to collapse a commodity sector and shutter competing companies? No problem. Want to shutter a regional banking sector? Piece of cake. Now the real coup-de-gras, want to sabotage certain state election results? Just a cut and paste click away. All of this info can be used to do so many bad things in the hands of evil people not loyal to the idea of America. All of it.
The first trump administration got a first hand look at this data and had little idea how big this treasure trove was, but the game has changed and the authors of Project 2025 at the Heritage Foundation obviously crafter their plans around their insider information. I definitely can say that the MAGAs have no idea what this is going to do to their lives. The republicans in Congress fully know as they think they are shielded from the worst. Sadly, history shows they will not be protected either.
This is so much more than a coup.
